What is a power supply?
A power supply is a device or system that provides energy to electronic devices, functioning much like the human heart as a critical component in ensuring their normal operation. Its role is to supply current, voltage, and power to maintain the proper functioning of electronic devices.
The working principle of a power supply can be divided into two basic aspects: energy conversion and voltage regulation.
Firstly, the power supply converts input DC or AC electrical energy into the required form of DC or AC electrical energy through an energy converter. This process typically involves steps such as rectification, filtering, transformation, and flyback. Instructions For Use The Product
Before use, refer to the power label and confirm that the input grid voltage is within the specified range
The calculation formula for AC input current is: Input current = output power ÷ input voltage ÷ input power factor ÷ power supply efficiency.
Please do not open the cover of the power supply or disassemble it to prevent electric shock or damage to the product.
For personal safety and to reduce interference, ensure that the safety grounding wire is securely connected to the ground.
To improve the lifespan of the power supply, maintain a distance between the power supply and cooling equipment during installation.
When technicians test the switch power supply, they should use an oscilloscope with a bandwidth of 20MHz. To avoid the influence of external radiation and interference, please remove the ground wire clamp of the probe during testing, connect the ground wire ring of the probe to the ground wire of the power output, and connect the probe to the output voltage terminal of the power supply.
Repair methods for products
In the event of a power outage, follow these steps:
Look: Open the outer shell of the power supply and check if the fuse is blown. Then, observe the internal condition of the power supply. Focus on inspecting the PCB board for burnt areas or broken components. Pay special attention to components and related circuitry in these areas.
Smell: Check if there is any burning smell inside the power supply and examine for burnt components.
Question: Inquire about the circumstances leading to the power supply damage and whether there have been any violations in its usage.
Measure: Before powering on, use a multimeter to measure the voltage at both ends of the high-voltage capacitor. If the fault is due to a failure of the switching power supply to oscillate or an open circuit in the switching tube, in most cases, the voltage at both ends of the high-voltage filtering capacitor will not discharge, and this voltage may exceed 300 volts. Exercise caution. Measure the forward and reverse resistance at both ends of the AC power line and the charging status of the capacitor using a multimeter. The resistance value should not be too low, as this may indicate a short circuit inside the power supply. Capacitors should be able to charge and discharge. Disconnect the load and measure the ground resistance of each group of output terminals. Normally, the meter needle should show capacitor charging and discharging oscillation, and the final reading should indicate the resistance value of the discharge resistor in the circuit.
